Detour on Trail 47 affects
route between Raco and Strongs. From Rexford
Rd. to Strongs Rd. sled
traffic is routed off the old railroad grade. Why, you ask is there a detour? It's a long story
and we won't go into it here. But join us in hoping for a happy ending sooner than later. In any case, this is not a terribe
detour and the route is more interesting than 6 miles of arrow straight railroad grade. Map is approximate, to be used as
a reference guide only. Hat's off to our compadres at Chippewa Snow Chasers---the grooming club responsible
for this section of trail---as well to the Forest Service and DNRE. When this problem suddenly reared its head the solution
was planned and implemented quickly and efficiently.
